Thanks for pointing that out; it's a bit of a surprise that the amount of time used by valgrind tests are comparable with ASan tests. Perhaps we have a bottleneck somewhere else?

Anyway I've opened !1472 to add `-DAGGRESSIVE_REALLOC` in ASan tests.
