Is this now no longer an issue for Thunderbird due to RNP support as
suggested in the comment in the bug report?

The --rfc4880 flag doesn't seem to affect the preferences. The Arch
Wiki suggests you do this:

    setpref AES256 AES192 AES SHA512 SHA384 SHA256 SHA224 ZLIB BZIP2 ZIP

... with expert mode. I dunno what the expert mode does. Seems to work
without.

I note that the Arch page has gotten very partisan towards the RFC9580
faction at the expense of the LibrePGP faction. Sort of annoying.
