It also leads to taking action quickly and building momentum. It can
often be easier to change direction in the light of new knowledge and
the wisdom of others, than to overcome the inertia of inaction and
start out in the right direction once you have learnt "everything." Of
course, it depends what type of endeavour you are undertaking. (-:

Unless you subscribe to the view that knowledge as what you learn from
your own mistakes and wisdom as what you learn from other people's
mistakes. I've heard it stated often enough (usually by the same
people who advocate "ready, fire, aim").
