I am against it, yes. This first paraphrasing of yours is accurate.

This is one of the reasons I gave against it. Data loss happens.

My password manager is protected by a 22-character base64 password, but 
otherwise yes, this is what I do.

Memorizing one random 22-character password is something many users (not 
all, but many) can do. It's no harder than memorizing digits of pi.

A lot of people have safe deposit boxes where they store important 
documents like property deeds and passports. I just include a printout 
of my passwords in mine.

You are free to ask for whatever features you like, and the developers 
are free to work on whatever they wish. I'm just a user who is 
unpersuaded by your idea and would prefer if the devs worked on other 
things.
