From ueno at gnu.org Fri Jul 10 04:05:45 2026 From: ueno at gnu.org (Daiki Ueno) Date: Fri, 10 Jul 2026 11:05:45 +0900 Subject: [gnutls-help] PSA: GitLab notifications will no longer be forwarded to gnutls-devel mailing list Message-ID: <87pl0vzjie.fsf-ueno@gnu.org> Hello, We have an email forwarding setup of GitLab activities to a read-only gnutls-devel mailing list since July 2018[1]. These days, this setup is becoming problematic, especially when a security sensitive issue is initially filed in public and then marked as confidential, leaving the issue still available on the mailing list archive. Therefore, unless anyone objects, I plan to turn this feature off and suggest people to subscribe to the GitLab project by themselves[2]. I have never been a fan of this email forwarding idea, for similar reasons Andreas pointed in the second paragraph of [3], which was sadly ignored at that time.
