I merged jas/drop-bootstrap2 into master now, gnulib had a copyright year check that failed today and it felt this approach simplifies guile-gnutls overall but without reducing functionality. /Simon -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Windows 7 (and Windows 8.1) EOL was 3 years ago. Why should gnutls care? Also this: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gnulib/2022-12/msg00079.html I would be inclined to do a "documentation" patch - just write down somewhere what needs to be done, but don't intentionally lower the target Windows version. Just my two cents though. Ondrej -- Ond?ej Sur? (He/Him) ondrej at sury.org -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Since some of the maintainers had participated in the program in the past, I am wondering, if we apply as an organization and get accepted, would anyone be interested in volunteering for mentoring and/or administration? As mentioned in the previous meeting, the current list of ideas are being collected at: https://gitlab.com/gnutls/gnutls/-/wikis/Projects-for-newcomers Maybe we could also list some ideas on integration, e.g., HTTP/3 support in wget2 through GnuTLS. I generated a question [1] about the versions of GnuTLS that we have packaged. In short, we currently have two versions of GnuTLS packaged, gnutls and gnutls-latest, but both point to a 3.7.x release. Do you recommend one point to at 3.6.x "stable" release? Would you prefer other software in Guix that uses GnuTLS use 3.7.x or 3.6.x? Thanks! We had the discussion previously on this mailing list[1] and also at the meeting[2]. Afaik the plan was: - release 3.8.0 soon as "next", while keeping 3.7.x as "stable" and 3.6.x as supported at best effort (only critical security issues are backported) - at some point during the 3.8 cycle, turn 3.8.x into "stable" and 3.7.x as supported at best effort, and stop supporting 3.6.x Does it make sense?
