I've already installed gnupg and so I thought I'd help you guys out by doing some testing of gnutls (I'm also interested in the feasability of wrapping it with java to implement the JCA for gcj). I presumed I wouldn't need libgcrypt since it would be installed with gnupg... however, it doesn't appear to be installed on my system (and your configure script can't find it). I've downloaded a copy to do my testing with, but I'm interested to know: is libgcrypt a part of the gnupg project but not part of the distribution? or should it be on my system if I've installed gnupg? It used to be in the development branch of GnuPG but this is not anymore the case. Future versions of GnuPG will use Libgcrypt, currently we are working on an S/MIME version of GnuPG which already uses Libgcrypt. Either get it from the CVS or from ftp.gnupg.org/gcrypt/alpha/libgcrypt/ Werner p.s. I am not subscribed to this list, so please forward such questions to the libgcrypt or gnutls developers ML: see http://lists.gnupg.org -- Nikos Mavroyanopoulos mailto:nmav at hellug.gr
