Thank you for the report. My guess is that it has something to do with gnutls!2014 (introduced in 3.8.11), which tries to initialize the module in a thread-safe mode and then falls back, and the logic might not work for your token. If you run p11tool with GNUTLS_DEBUG_LEVEL=3 or higher, maybe you will see some clue in the log.
