I don't really mind this PR becoming a place to discuss the design choices, but I'd really like it if someone could address the short-term problem that `libgnutls.so` is currently causing my application to segfault at exit :sweat_smile: . I don't really have the domain specific knowledge to implement or test the obvious fix of storing the existing handlers and then restoring them as part of `gnutls_crypto_deinit`.
