Yes, it does. And swtpm *does* support ECC, so RSA child keys use an ECC generated primary parent.
Looks like your code would fail if you try to use `tests/certs/swtpm-rsa-key-tpm.pem` from the OpenConnect tests.
OpenConnect and both engine would generate an ECC parent for that as they should, while you'll try to generate an RSA parent.
