The AUTHORS file has been unmaintained for some time, and recent contributors are not properly acknowledged. Taking opportunity from the [`CODEOWNERS`](https://gitlab.com/help/user/project/code_owners) feature of gitlab, we should migrate to it, replacing `AUTHORS`, and update it to contain a more accurate information.
