On AIX I am using xlc.


But changing to unsigned int resumed:1; would also require that RESUME_FALSE get changed to 1.


I think for a one bit signed int variable 0 and -1 are the correct values.

-2*N-1 .. ¯1+2*N-1

In that case also change:
int resumed:1  -> unsigned int resumed:1.
