Compile fix for gnutls-3.0.5

This should be fixed now.  I've made a bunch of other documentation
tweaks as well... unfortunately one side effect was that all man pages
for the APIs were lost because our way of generating them was broken
(many APIs did not have man pages).  I'm not convinced there is a huge
demand for API man pages, but if there is, it would be great if someone
had time to either fix the Makefile rules or come up with a more
reliable way of generating the man pages (from gtk-doc perhaps?).
