Definitely.  ;-)  I'm using 1.5.26 here.

Yes, that should be reported.

Is it really interpreting `-L'?  The `--debug' output you copied shows
that it *is* passing `-L', but the arguments to `-L' are mangled (where
does it get these two slashes from?).
