The trustdb is probably corrupt. Try this:
$ gpg --fix-trustdb
gpg: You may try to re-create the trustdb using the commands:
gpg: cd ~/.gnupg
gpg: gpg --export-ownertrust > otrust.tmp
gpg: rm trustdb.gpg
gpg: gpg --import-ownertrust < otrust.tmp
