GnuPG 1.4 for OS X / macOS

At risk of sounding disloyal to GnuPG, this isn't a very good use case 
for GnuPG. Even GnuPG 1.4 is way, way too much hammer for your task.

If I was distributing purely symmetrically encrypted files and didn't 
need sophisticated PKI management or signatures I'd probably use rage. 
Prebuilt MacOS binaries are available.
