Oh pinentry-gnome - it is intertwined with the gnome-keyring stuff and
does all kind of surprings things. Indeed, the GTK and QT pinentries
are easier to understand.
BYW: Running gpg with -v (aka --verbose) shows infos about the used
pinentry.
