After that, I run

gpg2 -K

to confirm I don't have stubs for the keys on the card.

>By the way, a quicker method than using keytocard, deleting the local stubs, and importing the sub-keys from a backup is using keytocard and then not saving the changes. That way, the key is both on the card and on disk.
