Strange Encryption Problem

When I attempt to encrypt an asc message and enter the recipients
certificate (Adele included) I get the message:

"None of the recipients you are encrypting to seems to be your own.

This means that you will not be able to decrypt the data anymore, once
encrypted."

Can anybody help?
