Examine a key file

Greetings:

     If I have a base 64 exported PGP key, how can I extract the descriptive
data about the key without importing it?

     I just want to see this stuff:

pub   1024D/B00BFACE 2010-10-11
uid                  SOMEPLACE <Snick at thyservice.com>
sub   1024g/68EEEE20 2010-10-11
