Selecting cipher to generate a key pair

Is it possible to select a specific cipher, such as Triple-DES or
Blowfish, to use to generate a key pair?

I've read email posted in the archives, and FAQ that indicates this is
possible.  I don't see an option to do that just running
	pgp --gen-key
