Actually, the GnuPG Manual refers to this 'feature' as:
Foolish/Unrecommended things One _can_ do but WHY?
I paraphrased and freely admit that I do several of these things. I
also accept that I am 'foolish' & 'unrecommended' by most Mothers. :-D
