Hi,

as promised here is another release of GnuPG. This is mainly to fix
bugs found in 1.9.93. Thanks to all testers.

Noteworthy changes in version 1.9.94 (2006-10-24)
-------------------------------------------------

 * Keys for gpgsm may now be specified using a keygrip. A keygrip is
indicated by a prefixing it with an ampersand.

 * gpgconf now supports switching the CMS cipher algo (e.g. to AES).

 * New command --gpgconf-test for all major tools. This may be used to
check whether the configuration file is sane.

Available at the usual place:

 ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/gcrypt/alpha/gnupg/gnupg-1.9.94.tar.bz2 (3780k)
 ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/gcrypt/alpha/gnupg/gnupg-1.9.94.tar.bz2.sig

or as a patch (without PO file updates):

 ftp://ftp.gnupg.org/gcrypt/alpha/gnupg/gnupg-1.9.93-1.9.94.diff.bz2 (19k)

If you have a smart card (either OpenPGP or the Belgian eID), you may
want to play with the enhanced gpgsm-gencert.sh tool.

BTW, 7 days to go for the logo-contest. You may however donate until
we have finished the selection. http://logo-contest.gnupg.org/

Shalom-Salam,

   Werner
