Hi,
Just pipe the key into gpg, without specifying --import:
~$ gpg < web/gpg/92082481
pub 1024D/92082481 2002-02-22 Adrian von Bidder <avbidder at fortytwo.ch>

sub 1024g/08C279D8 2002-02-22 [expires: 2012-02-20]
sub 1024D/BDDF997A 2002-08-21 [expires: 2007-08-20]
sub 1024D/E5A7F7D6 2002-08-22 [expires: 2007-08-21]
If you're interested in a more detailed (and more technical) view: use gpg
--list-packets. (I warned you: it is really a very technical view of the
key...)
cheers
