Your problem was likely with the parsing of the key. I just posted a more
detailed answer wrt the keyserver thread. The PKS servers have/(have had)
"problems" with newer key features such as PhotoIDs and subkeys. Some have
been patched, others have not.

Future problems with the PKS servers? Probably. You're safest to stick
with the SKS servers.
