It's too late now, as you've revoked the key, but I just wonder whether
you did in fact change the passphrase. If you omitted  the "save"
command at the end of the process the passphrase would not have been
changed.

It's also a good lesson on the value of keeping backups, which would
enable you to return to a version of the key with the old passphrase
