--batch switch not always preventing questions

  gpg --decrypt --batch --yes nope2.msg  nope2.data

or 

  gpg --decrypt --batch --yes nope2.msg  < nope2.data

If a detached signature is not expected you can simply force an error by

  gpg --decrypt --batch --yes nope2.msg  < /dev/null

In general it is always good to connect stdin with /dev/null in an
automated environment.
