Compilation problem overcome

I had a problem compiling that required using this:

CFLAGS="-g -O2 -mcpu=powerpc"

I found an old posting on the web from 2001 that provided this, and the make
compiled successfully.  But I couldn't find anything in the gpg docs about
this.  Seems like it would be helpful.
