Newbie needs help about gnupg-certificate handling

Hi,

gnupg is completly new for me. As far as i have understood is gnupg
developed in accordance to the pgp-standard. So there has to be somethi=

to store/mange the public/private keys. I'm wondering how the certifica=
te
management is done ? Where are keys stored ? Is there anything like a C=

integrated/recommended  in gnupg or which interfaces/standards for hand=
ling
Certificates are integrated ? Any help would be appreciated :)))))
