Error when clearsigning a file

Hello,

when we try to clearsign a file via a PHP-Script we get an error

  gpg: cannot open /dev/tty: Device not configured

Does anybody know about that error and how to fix it?

FreeBSD 4.2
Apache 1.3.11
PHP 4.0.6
GnuPG 1.0.6
