Hello,
I just installed GnuPG for the first time, and generated a
key-pair. When I try to encrypt a file to myself I get the following:
---output---
[caleb@deepthought caleb]$ gpg --armor --recipient bokonon@rochester.rr.com --encrypt layout.inc
gpg: Warning: using insecure memory!
gpg: this cipher algorithm is depreciated; please use a more standard one!
---/output---
I understand the first message, but not the second. When I
encrypt a message to a friend of mine (who is using the newest version
of PGP) I don't get such a messgae. Running this command does
produce an encrypted file which I am able to decrypt.
Should I be worried about the message?
