File size limit in GnuPG???

    GPG is not giving any error messages on file creation. Also, the
resulting file is the correct size for the input data.
    OTOH, I took a look at some files I created using these same scripts
on a system with half the memory.  Even the ones that are 1.2G still work,
so it is not a simple filesize problem.  Further, I looked at another file
I created much earlier today on the same system as originally, and was also
around 650M, and it is invalid also.
    So, on one system, I have two failed 650M files and one successful
250M file.  On a system with half the memory, I have files from 100M to
1.2G that are valid.
    If GnuPG is hitting a system resource problem, why isn't it aborting
with an error?
