PGP 5.x and GnuPG

Ugh. I misread your original question. GnuPG and PGP 6.x (and higher) are
completely compatable (I believe) as they are both based on RFC 2440 (for
the most part). 

There are some features that PGP offers in the newer versions that you
can't take advantage of in GPG, but that does not hinder the exchange of
keys or messages between the programs.
