Some problems between GnuPG and Smart Card

Please describe the problems 
and the settings you have found  each in greater detail.
(Or refer to more detaile descriptions.)

In some situations scdaemon (and other parts of GnuPG) can be improved
in other situations there is a different solution.
Thus the details matter.
