SVN and branches (was Re: DSA2)

This is not good.  First, you forwarded private mail to a mailing
list.  Second, your question was "Will a new branch release follow
soon?".  My answer, as seen above, was no.  There is no reason to make
a new GPG 1.4.x release for a license change with no change in actual
functionality.  How you got from there to a complaint that it doesn't
currently compile, I don't see.

The SVN code may not compile on some platforms.  It may even stay in
that state for a while while problems are worked out.  That the
difference between the SVN and a release.  In this particular case,
Werner and I were discussing how we wanted to fix the problem.  Now
that there are two GPG branches, it's important to not do something in
one branch that will make life miserable in the other.
