identical fingerprints

RFC 2440 says that:
"Note that there is a much smaller, but still non-zero
probability that two different keys have the same
fingerprint."
How well does gpg handle this possibility? What would
break, and would there be any way to specify one key
over another?
If anyone does have an example of two keys with
identical fingerprints, I'd be interested to have a
look....
