I'm not seeing a 30x difference but I'm seeing a 6x difference.
1.2.1 takes 2.93s to do --with-fingerprints --with-colons --list-keys
1.2.2 takes 17.46s to do the same thing
This was confirmed on an OS X 10.2.6 machine.
