NEED_PASSPHRASE and gpg-agent

Hi,

I use GnuPG 1.2.1.

It seems that even if gpg-agent is present, gpg will still send the 
NEED_PASSPHRASE status.  Is this considered a bug?  What happens is my 
application as well as gpg-agent both end up displaying a passphrase box.

I'm guessing the proper behavior would be for gpg to not ask an application 
for a passphrase when it is using gpg-agent for that.
