Check for file existence before entering passphrase

This is more of a "nice to have" feature more than anything else. Perhaps there
already exists a way around this problem? When I am signing a file, I would
like it if GnuPG would check for the file's existence and issue a warning
*before* I go through the trouble of entering in my passphrase. It doesn't
have to error out as it does after the passphrase is entered, but a simple
warning would be nice.
