(I did search for this briefly but missed to find something like
  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/If_and_only_if)

BTW the page says "Some authors regard "iff" as unsuitable in formal writing"
and given that it assumes that people know it, maybe replacing it with
  "if and only if" is better for the security advisory.
